last week i purchased a few make-up things from boots with money i received for christmas. i'm not a die hard make-up fan. i mean, i like make-up, i like wearing it and i actually think it's fun to put on but i'm not interested in finding the 'holy grail' of foundations or whatever. plus i don't have that kind of money to buy lots of different products when all i really need is one of each thing.
oh and i apologize for the terrible pictures! i have my camera back but it's acting like a child and won't work properly :(

one thing i bought was the maybelline fit me foundation, i've not heard really anything about it before buying, but i've spotted it a few times in shops and always thought it looked a lot more 'high-end' than a drug store brand. upon doing research, i've read that fit me is maybellines first gel foundation made with no oils or fillers which sounds really impressive to me!
because i'm quite pale i usually go for the lightest shade in any foundation that i buy. the boots i bought this from doesn't sell the palest shade, ivory 115 (pink undertones) so i went for the next shade up, classic ivory 120 (yellow undertones). i bring up the undertones because they have colour guides up next to foundation in the shop to help you decide which shade you need, but it just confused me as i literally have no idea if i have pink or yellow undertones. classic ivory on me seems a little too dark and yellowy as to what i'm used to, but it doesn't look terrible or that noticeable. the formula is very light and runny and on the skin it feels really natural and doesn't look at all heavy. even though it's light, i feel that it covers my imperfections really well and blends effortlessly! i feel two pumps is enough for me to get the desired coverage that i like.
i have oily skin and would recommend this for anyone else who does as well. i've been wearing this a few times with pressed powder and a few times without and it lasts really well, even without powder!
left: no other face make-up. right: with pressed powder, bronzer and blush.
if i were to buy this again i'd maybe try the 115 but for now i'm happy with what i have and will be using it as my main foundation until i run out.
have you tried maybelline fit me foundation?

That looks great! I'm so jealous of how pretty you still look with no makeup on! xx
