ASOS Please!

This isn't the most interesting post which I apologize for, but I thought I'd show you what I actually plan on buying from ASOS in the next couple of weeks! These are things that I'd like for my holiday and for summer in general! I like this kaftan as it's not too fussy, it looks really pretty, floaty and light which makes it a suitable beach dress for me!
I love the idea of pencil skirts more than I like them on me. I have an odd body shape where my waist is small but my butt and thighs are bigger, so finding things that fit my waist and my butt at the same time can be pretty tricky. I'm also short so longer skirts and dresses don't suit me, however I'm hoping this skirt will fit with it being in the Petite section. The pattern on it is absolutely gorgeous too!
I love the simplicity of a white t-shirt but this one is a little bit different with the side split and the longer hem at the back. It can make a simple outfit a bit more interesting! The grey top is also quite simple with a tiny bit of gathering at the sides which can make all the difference. This is something I'd wear with jeans or even the pencil skirt!
Shorts are a big no-no for me, especially tight denim hotpants, I don't know what it is, I just really dislike shorts on me but I'm looking for a pair that'll change my mind! This pair look quite loose and light so hopefully I'll like them on me! These could also be easily dressed up or down.
I wanted a small, dainty necklace to wear for an evening out where I'm getting a little dressed up and thought this would be lovely. It's very thin and the charm is small so it would add a little elegance to an outfit without being too much.

Let me know what you think!

My Favourite Nail Varnishes | Part One

I love all of my nail varnishes and it's hard to choose which one colour to wear at a time, let alone pick out a few of my favourites. All of my nail varnishes are really easy to find and are very affordable, none of them cost more than £7. In this post you'll find my favourite purple, orange and neutral shade nail varnishes!
Parma Violet / Topshop - I remember when Topshop first brought out their make-up line and this nail varnish was the first thing I bought! It's a gorgeous delicate shade of lilac. For me it's the perfect lilac as it's not too blue or too pinky and it suits my skin tone! This particular Topshop nail varnish is quite old now so the formula has gotten a bit gloopy but it still applies easily.
Dynasty / American Apparel - I'm not a massive fan of the colour purple but I think this shade is really pretty. I find American Apparel varnishes to be really easy to apply and with this colour it only takes 2 thin layers to get a great opacity.
Prickly Pear / Barry M - I love this colour! It's a little more blue and a little more darker than Parma Violet. I probably use about 2 coats of this but I do find the Gelly formulas to be a little thick and gloopy once I've done one hand but the colour makes up for it and it's ultra shiny when a topcoat has been applied!
Utopia / Models Own - I don't own a lot of natural  light shades of nail varnish but I think this colour is amazing. It's a gorgeous milky lilac/pink/grey. I expected that I'd have to apply a few coats for this colour to really show but it only takes about 2!
Neon Red / American Apparel - This is the only colour I own from the Neon collection at American Apparel but I can say that the colour of Neon Red is more 'neon' than on the photo. It's a lovely bright pinky red colour which dries semi-matte. Like I said before, the formula is really great and you only need 2 coats for a really nice coverage.
Tart Deco / Essie - This is the only pinky coloured nail varnish that I own as I don't think pink suits me, but this is a coraly pink which I really love. Essie varnishes are really easy to apply as they have thick brushes that cover the whole nail and although this is a light shade I don't need to apply that many coats!
Sun Downer / Rimmel - I haven't used this as much as I'd like to but Sun Downer is a vibrant orange shade. This only needs to be applied once for it to be an intense colour which is amazing, it's very easy to apply and dries quickly!
Geography Teacher / Topshop - I really like nude nails and Geography Teacher is such a lovely, unusual colour. I'd say it's a caramel/camel colour, which I thought wouldn't suit me but it does! It applies very easily, dries quickly and only takes 1-2 coats.
Lychee / Barry M - This is another Gelly nail varnish from Barry M and as well as Prickly Pear, I find Lychee to be a little thick and gloopy too! However, I am absolutely in love with the colour as it's the most perfect creamy nude shade. This also doesn't need a lot of coats even with it being quite a pale colour. I think this could suit any skin colour!
Mushroom / Barry M - I was searching for this nail varnish for so long in my nearest Boots and Superdrug but it had always sold out, finally though I got my hands on it! Mushroom is a lot darker than the rest of my natural shades, it's a coffee brown colour which sounds wrong, why would you wear brown nail varnish? But it looks so pretty on the nails and it's great for autumn time!

Do you own any of these? Do you like the look of any of them?!

April Favourites

My first Monthly Favourites post! I've never done one before as up until recently I've been using a lot of the same products, but I've been experimenting more and trying out different things that I've either wanted to try for ages or would have never thought to buy in a million years! I've always really liked reading Monthy Favourites posts and watch a few on YouTube sometimes too, so thanks to blogging here is mine! Let me know what you think!

Clarins Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser - If you're feeling a little lazy and want to quickly cleanse your face without having to faff around with your cream cleanser, then this is a great product. Just put some on a cotton pad, gently wipe over your face and that's it, there's no need to rinse it off! I've been having dry skin recently and this feels really moisturising and leaves my skin feeling wonderful. I always reach for this when it gets hot because it just feels lovely and refreshing, also the Peach scent is gorgeous!

Clarins Gentle Refiner - I prefer this to my usual exfoliator as it's a much more creamier formula and whilst swapping to this exfoliator, it has definitely helped sort out my recent dry skin problem. It's got a lovely, what I like to call, 'Clarins' smell, which may deem too strong but I don't mind it and it doesn't linger anyway! The microbeads are not too abrasive for me, just right to give my face a good scour. Again, this leaves my skin feeling clean and very soft!

Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains in Honey and Rendezvous - I know I've talked about these in my recent Favourite Lip Products post (here) but they had to be included in this post too! They're just so easy to apply and wear. I've worn them a lot of times to work and in a 6-8 hour shift, I'll only reapply about two times. They dry very nicely into a stain, the colour intensity doesn't fade and my lips don't feel dry at all. Honey is a neutral rosy pink colour and Rendezvous is a bright orange/coral shade. The packaging is great, easy to use and the product has a slight minty smell, which I quite enjoy!

E.L.F Matte Lip Colour in Rich Red - I've owned this for a few days and first wore it on the last day of April, I loved it that much it had to go in my April Favourites! It's surprisingly one of the best lip products I've ever tried and it's so cheap, currently in the E.L.F sale! The shade is how the name suggests, really very rich and erm, red! I've seen Real Red and MACs Ruby Woo compared and they're incredibly similar in colour! This feels very creamy when applied, it's not drying in the slightest and it lasts ALL DAY, like seriously! I think this lip product might even be better than the Kate Moss ones and for me, that's saying something!

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer - I'm sure a lot of people have this and have said their two cents about it.. I was never interested in concealer as I saw it as another pointless thing to put on my face, but I became more and more interested in trying one and decided to get this! I really like it, I think it has great coverage, the shade matches my skin perfectly and it's very easy to apply. I have nothing to compare it to but it's definitely made me feel that concealer is a little more worth while!

Essie Nail Lacquer in Russian Roulette and Tart Deco - Essie are a new brand that I've never tried until this month. I thought I'd ignore the price and purchase a shade that I know I'd definitely use, Russian Roulette. It's a gorgeous classic bright red! The second shade I got was Tart Deco which is a lovely light coral. I love these products so much, they last a long time and they're really easy to apply because the brush is quite wide so you can paint the whole of your nail in one go!

QVS Eyelash Curler - Eyelash curlers were another thing that I thought was pointless but yet again I've completely changed my mind about it! I actually bought these last year while I was living in London but have recently found them again and started using them. These particular eyelash curlers are very inexpensive and I either bought them from Boots or from the Supermarket I work in but I think they work great. They make my lashes looks 100x better when I put on mascara!
Topshop Joni Jeans - After my beloved American Apparel Easy Jeans ripped (the shame!), I had been eyeing up the Joni Jeans as they're pretty much the same pair of jeans except lower in price. These are like heaven! They're a lot more stretchier than the Easy Jeans and they fit me perfectly! I've been wearing them constantly this month, I just love them and now I need them in more colours!

May

header sources: 1/2/3/4/5
I hope everyone had a great April! Last month I started a new 'diet' but I don't like to call it that! I've started eating only clean foods which has been easy so far and I've had no chocolate cravings yet, although I've been having a few headaches instead! I also made my first blog related video which you can find on my blog or you can go here. I've had some lovely feedback from it, which is so nice as I was a bit reluctant to upload it at first! In the next 6 days I have to confirm my university choice on UCAS which scares me a lot, but apart from that and working my butt off I don't have much else to do!
Have a good one!

Favourite Lip Products | Part Two

So here's the second post about my favourite lip products! I've really enjoyed taking the pictures and writing for these posts so I hope you enjoy them just as much! There's not many to go now, so it won't be so long!
Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick - Cherry Red
Cherry Red by Natural Collection (Boots) is a lovely and bright, blue-toned red shade. It feels really nice on the lips as the name suggests, it's very moisturising and has a slight shine to it. It doesn't really last whilst eating or drinking so you would have to re-apply throughout the day, but these lipsticks cost £1.99 which is amazing if you ask me when you consider the amazing pigmentation! It's a great colour for my pale skin and I can see this suiting other skin tones too!
Bourjois Sweet Kiss Lipstick - 52 Brun Ombré
This lipstick is my go-to when I'm wanting something very natural on my lips as this, like the Revlon Colourburst, is very similar to my normal lip colour. However, compared to the Revlon lipstick, this is a bit more shinier and is also a softer colour. It's incredibly moisturising and light, it also dries very nicely into a stain. I really like the packaging because it's something quite different, you have to push down the silver circle thing to open the lipstick - I don't really know, I just think it's quite quirky! I would say it was a slightly darker colour than on the swatch photos, silly lighting.
This is actually the only lip liner I use and it's great as I can wear it underneath a lot of the bright shades that I own. I can easily get precise line with this pencil and it's also really good when used gently, you still get the same amount of colour whichever way you use it. I'm wearing it as an all over colour in the photo but because it's quite drying, I put on vaseline over the top and it looks amazing when glossy! I sometimes find that it's a pinky red, however when applied all over the lip it definitely looks like a bright, postbox red! This is also really inexpensive, retailing at £2.99!

Lush Lip Tint - Chilli Tingle
I love this product and I really don't know why I haven't gone out to buy more Lush Lip Tints! Chilli Tingle is a gorgeous orange shade with a slight chilli scent. It's a lot brighter in real life than on the pictures, again silly lighting, and can easily be applied with a finger or a brush! It's leaves my lips feeling really soft and kinda tastes like sugar! This also dries really nicely into a stain and it lasts for a really long time!

There we have it for my favourite lip products! Let me know what you think, if you own any of these or if you now plan on purchasing anything. The first part of this post can be found here!

MY FIRST VLOG | Topshop, Office + E.L.F Cosmetics Haul, plus a Giveaway??

I made my first vlog today! I'm really sorry if it's awkward or anything, I have a very soft voice and I'm quite weird! I had to cut out a lot of random noises and 'ums' but I can only get better at it, right?!
What do you think of me doing more videos in the future? If I promise to get better (and hopefully have  more attractive thumbnails), of course!

P.S I'm 10 followers away from 300 and would love to do a giveaway when I reach the milestone!

Worldwide Wardrobe

Yesterday I received an exciting email from Laura from Travel Supermarket telling me about some of their great blogger competitions. I couldn't wait to have a go and create looks for certain destinations. There's 1 winner for each of the 5 categories and they'll receive £200 for the outfit and also a holiday to that destination! I decided to do 4 of the 5 categories, full moon party in Thailand, sightseeing in Paris, clubbing in Ibiza and cocktails in New York!
White Broderie Cover Up - Topshop £38 / Yellow Fluro Bikini Top - River Island £16 / Yellow Fluro Bikini Bottoms - River Island £10 / Ethnic Flat Sandals - Zara £39.99 / Elephant Cross-Body Bag - Urban Outfitters  £28
TOTAL - £131.99
There is just something about Thailand that seems so interesting and beautiful. I've been wanting to go for a very long time now, and going to a full moon party would be so wonderful! I chose to base my outfit around a white cover up from Topshop. I've seen a lot of really lovely embroidered kimonos and wraps but I decided to go with something more simple instead and spruce it up with accessories. The cover up dress from Topshop has some really cute detailing such as the little pom-poms along the hem and also the flower broderie detailing on the front. I included the picture of the model as I really love how it hangs on the body! I decided to go with a neon yellow bikini from River Island as I thought it be nice to have it showing through the white dress. Then, to make the outfit more interesting and colourful I added the lovely 'ethnic' sandals from Zara and the Elephant bag from Urban Outfitters. Both pieces are really nicely patterned and suit the occasion really well, I feel!
Short Sleeve Panel Shirt - Topshop £34 / Vintage Joni Jeans - Topshop £36 / Cat Eye Sunglasses - ASOS £10 / Shopper With Braided Handles - Zara £39.99 / Snapshot Pointed Heels - ASOS £40 / Adjustable Plain Band Rings / ASOS £8
TOTAL - £167.99
Paris is definitely my favourite place. I've been twice now and my favourite day in Paris ever has to be when I went last Summer with my Mum. We visited Versailles for the day and the weather was sooo warm! For this outfit I decided to go with something a little casual and relaxed but still quite 'dressed up', as Paris is such a laid back city and every Parisian woman looks effortlessly amazing! I own a pair of Joni Jeans and they are so comfortable and would wear them all the time if I could, I think being comfortable is also a good thing when going sightseeing! The Shirt from Topshop is really nice with the sheer panels and pleated back, it's a more modern take on the white shirt but still smart looking! I know flats or sandals may be more ideal if you're walking around a big city all day but I don't think these pointed ASOS heels would be that uncomfortable, I chose red as they just pop and contrast nicely with the rest of the outfit. I chose the Zara bag as it looks big enough to hold everything I could need for going sightseeing, such as my big SLR camera, my phone, make-up bag, purse and anything else! I'm personally not a big jewellery wearer but I own the 3 plain band rings from ASOS and they're just a nice, minimalistic touch to an outfit.

TOTAL - £122
It may be a surprise that I quite enjoy 'clubbing' although I don't really call it that... I thought the Rihanna for River Island top was perfect for a beach holiday with the knotted front, and would definitely wear it 'clubbing' in Ibiza. I teamed the cropped cami with the lovely striped Motel Rocks skirt as I really like the contrasting colours. I'm not a shorts wearer at all, you'll hardly ever see me in a pair so this is why I chose the bodycon skirt as I'd feel more comfortable in it! To keep with the neon yellow theme I found these really great bracelets from ASOS which I think go really well with this outfit. I also decided to keep the bag and shoes white, I don't know how practical wearing white in Ibiza is but practical is boring! I think the flatforms look so cool with this outfit and they kinda 'casual-ise' (made up word??) it, also I don't go out in heels that often but these would still give me some height (shorty over here)! I chose a neutral coloured sunglasses as I really like the mix of neutral and neon colours! I kept the bag small as I couldn't think of anything worse carrying a massive bag around with me whilst going out. I think the Topshop mini satchel will fit everything you need - money, phone and one or two make-up products!
TOTAL - £170.98
I've never been to New York but it's one of those places that you just have to go to, so maybe one day! I chose this dress from Zara as it's lovely and simple, however the bright fucsia colour means that it doesn't need a lot of detailing - the colour does everything, though the dress has shoulder pads so that adds a little 'something' without going overboard. The Topshop court shoes are great for someone like me. Usually courts make my legs look fatter and stumpier as they have no platform but this pair in particular have a lower heel. I didn't want to chose a shoe that was too chunky for the dress which these Topshop ones may appear to be but when worn, they look really dainty. With the bag I chose to stick with black and white and I really love the design on this Zara clutch, it really makes the whole outfit a lot more interesting. With the jewellery I kept it simple. The necklace sits on the collar bone which looks really elegant and the earrings are just plain so the bag and the dress do the rest of the talking!
